Road to Dayton 2025 Recap
This past season marked an incredible milestone for Synergy Indoor as we embarked on our first-ever journey to Dayton, Ohio, for the WGI World Championships. Our goal was ambitious—raising $25,000 to help get our students to Ohio—but what happened next was nothing short of inspiring.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised $16,000 in our very first year. This wouldn’t have been possible without the unwavering support of local businesses and individuals who believe in our mission. We’re especially grateful to McCoy’s Building Supply, the RGV Vipers, Bubba’s 33, Goodwill, and the many generous individuals who stood behind our students and helped turn this dream into a reality.
This trip was more than a performance—it was a life-changing experience. For over 55% of our students, this was their first time leaving the Rio Grande Valley. For nearly half, it was their first time outside of Texas. These are young people from communities that often face economic hardship and limited access to travel opportunities. Because of your support, these students were able to experience something entirely new—broadening their world and building memories that will last a lifetime.
Your donations helped us cover essentials: transportation (buses, semis, box trucks, drivers, and fuel), meals throughout the trip, and accommodations for students who couldn’t afford them. This season also brought unexpected challenges: temperatures dropped into the low 20s, the coldest we’ve ever experienced on a trip. Many of our students didn’t have the proper winter gear, but because of your generosity, we were able to provide jackets, hand warmers, beanies, gloves, and more. Every student stayed warm, cared for, and ready to perform their best.
Looking ahead to Dayton 2026, our ensemble is projected to grow by over 50%, which brings a new challenge: raising $50,000 to support every student in the program. We believe in our students—and we know our community does, too. With your continued support, we can ensure no student is left behind due to financial hardship.
Every donation directly impacts our kids, their growth, and their future. Thank you for being part of their journey. We can’t wait to see what the next season brings.
